The length someone needs to be in therapy can vary. Some people only need a few sessions to address a specific concern, while others may require therapy over a longer period of time.
Psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP, but most employer-provided benefit packages do cover limited private psychotherapy offered by a social worker or licensed psychologist.
Unfortunately not at this time. Payment can be made via e-transfer. It is the responsibility of the client to seek reimbursement from their insurance/benefit provider and an invoice will be provided.
I have a 48-hour cancellation policy for any changes or cancellations. This means that all appointments that are cancelled or changes within 48 hours, including missed appointments will be subject to the full session fee.
Generally, all communication is confidential. There are exceptions required by law that can be discussed in session.
